"Dust with a dry cloth and vacuum for regular maintenance. If stains become apparent, blot stains immediately and wipe surface with a lightly dampened cloth and mild detergent. Do not spot clean; wipe the entire surface area and then dry with a clean cloth. Do not use saddle soap, abrasive cleaners or detergents or ammonia. If necessary, use non-abrasive leather cleaner but spot test to ensure there will be no discoloration. If the stain or blemish is still present, please consult a furniture specialist."
For other fabrics
Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment. Flip, rotate and fluff removable cushions regularly to ensure even wear and increase longevity. Feather and down cushions have excellent recovery, but much like down comforters, pillows need to be fluffed frequently to restore their loft. Some feather loss is normal. Vacuuming with an upholstery attachment between the fabric casings and cushions will help prevent feathers from poking through the fabric. To minimize fading, avoid placing your upholstered furniture in direct sunlight. Dark fabrics and natural fibers like cotton are most susceptible to fading. An annual professional cleaning will keep your upholstered furniture looking its best.
Treat stains immediately for the best results. Blot up as much of the spill as possible with a clean, dry, white cloth. Don't rub. For small stains, use warm distilled water and blot up the stain with a clean cloth. For large or stubborn stains, we recommend consulting a furniture specialist for professional care.
For Sandro brand fabrics only (Modern Tweed, Classic Tweed, Vintage Velvet, New Velvet, Performance Weave, Linen Weave, Plush Weave, and, Modern Felt), you may use Folex® Instant Carpet Spot Remover or Crypton® Purple or Gold Upholstery Stain Remover, which are safe to use on all of our Sandro brand fabrics. Upon use, continue to apply cleaner sparingly and blot until the stain no longer transfers onto the cloth. This may take several attempts. When you’ve removed as much of the stain as possible, blot any remaining cleaner from the fabric. If your spot cleaner recommends a water rinse, apply a small amount of distilled water to the stained area and blot to remove. Tap water may stain or discolor the fabric due to its mineral content. Use a hair dryer on the lowest heat setting to evenly dry the fabric and prevent moisture rings. Be sure to spot test to ensure that there will be no discoloration. If the stain or blemish is still present, please consult a furniture specialist."
Lorinda Anne's review gave 5 stars, but noted the fabric being a little nubby:
"Ordering from rove concepts was super easy. We had a limited space issue for our sectional and rove was one of the only places we found a great looking sectional that's under 100". The item shipped quickly and we were allowed to pick our delivery day and time window which was super convenient. We love our sofa, super comfy, fits perfectly, My only issue is that the fabric is a little bit more nubby than I wanted, but it's still a super high quality piece!"
Donna Gustafson's review also gave 5 stars, and praised the quick fabric swatch delivery time:
"I never, ever thought I would order a large piece of furniture (a sofa) from an on-line source - until I found Rove. The fabric samples I requested arrived within days, and the customer service follow-up was impressive. The site is well-designed, but even better are the detailed descriptions of the piece - so important to me in making a decision to order a sofa without "seeing" or "sitting"."
Britt Benston's review gave 3 stars, and said the fabric was not as good as expected:
"Good, tasteful looks. Below average quality fabric and construction.
We did local pickup of the Finley Sectional sofa and so had to attach the legs. The holes didn't line up so had to drill new ones. So there was a persistent squeak for a few months when you sit down because some of the screws didn't go in perfectly straight. Then the Performance Weave fabric pilled badly. We've had to comb the pills out twice, a process. Last, it has a bad design flaw on the seam in the middle of the seat of the sofa (non-chaise) part. Since the upholstery velcroes on the underside in two places, where it doesn't velcro, there's always a big rumple in the upholstery on top. It can be smoothed but it doesn't stay at all. Looks and feels loose there and wrinkles elsewhere, too."
